Ingredients
Method
- Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in enough water for 4-5 hours or overnight.
- After soaking, drain the water. Grind the soaked rice and coconut in a grinder with half a cup of water to make a smooth paste.
- Add salt and 1-2 cups of water to the rice paste to make a thin batter. The batter should have a very thin consistency, almost like water. You can adjust the amount of water as per your requirement.
- Heat a flat, non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Grease it with a little oil or ghee.
- Pour the batter from a distance onto the hot pan and swirl the pan quickly to spread the batter.
- Cover the pan with a lid for about a minute. The dosa will cook in the steam. You do not need to flip this dosa.
- Once the dosa looks transparent and cooked, carefully lift it from the pan.
- Serve hot with chutney, sambar, or any curry of your choice.
- Fold the dosa into a triangle or roll it and serve immediately.
