Fluffy Rava Upma — simple, light & delicious breakfast!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rava semolina/sooji
  • 2 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal & chana dal
  • 1 onion chopped, optional
  • 2 green chilies slit
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 8-10 cashews
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Dry roast rava till light aroma comes, set aside.
  2. Heat ghee, add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, chilies & cashews.
  3. Add chopped onion (optional) and sauté.
  4. Pour water & salt, bring to boil.
  5. Add rava slowly while stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. Cover & cook till fluffy.
  7. Serve hot with coconut chutney or pickle. 🥗
